Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automated testing for desktop and mobile applications while performing manual tests as needed.

You will build and maintain test suites, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and collaborate with developers to improve testability. Proficiency with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, Electron/React Native apps is required, with AI QA tools a plus.

Qualifications

4+ years in QA automation with manual testing experience.
Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices.
Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their outputs.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
