Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automation testing for desktop and mobile apps. You’ll build robust test suites, automate critical user flows, and contribute to quality across platforms.

You will run tests in CI/CD environments, investigate failures, and ensure reliable, fast feedback. Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, and Appium is essential, including Electron or React Native apps.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and React Native apps on real devices.
• Knowledge of using AI tools in QA and evaluating their outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers and product to ensure testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk and maintain regression suites.
