Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation while performing manual and exploratory testing. You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with developers for testability and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities include building robust regression suites, investigating failures, and ensuring high-quality releases across Electron/React Native apps on real devices. Remote, international team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation.
• Hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Experience with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure fast, reliable tests.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data/environments.
• Report clear bugs with reproducible steps and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk and maintain regression suites.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
