Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale core infrastructure supporting rapid growth. You will manage cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, design reliable platform services, and collaborate with engineering and data science teams to ensure performance and security.

Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, implementing infra improvements, and applying best practices to accelerate development while maintaining reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of AWS and Kubernetes experience, incl. Service Mesh tech like Istio/Linkerd/Cilium.
• 1+ year of experience building architectural components like service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, etc.
• 6+ months of experience with LLMs, prompt engineering or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• Excellent communication, quick learner, ownership mindset.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to build and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. This person designs reliable platform services, manages cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, and works closely with engineering and data science teams to keep systems performant and secure. Comfort with distributed architecture and AI-native tooling matters here.

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of experience with API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS and Kubernetes, including experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, or similar.
• 1+ year of experience building advanced architectural components such as service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, federated/polyglot persistence, etc.
• 6+ months of experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to learn on the fly, and a desire for ownership.
