Job summary

AgileEngine seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design and scale core infrastructure, managing cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes. You will implement reliable platform services, apply service mesh tech, and work with AI-native tooling to keep systems secure and performant.

The role requires 3+ years in Python/TypeScript server development, API design, and hands-on AWS/Kubernetes experience, with strong communication and English proficiency. Flexible remote/office work options are available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS and Kubernetes, including service mesh technologies (Istio/Linkerd/Cilium).
• 1+ year of building architectural components like service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, persistence.
• 6+ months of experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills and strong ownership mindset.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to build and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. This person designs reliable platform services, manages cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, and works with service mesh technologies to keep systems performant and secure. Comfort with distributed architecture and AI-native tooling matters here.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform services to support company growth.
• Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing infrastructure-level improvements.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries, ensuring security and operational excellence.
• Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize the development process and increase efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of experience with API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS and Kubernetes, including experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, or similar.
• 1+ year of experience building advanced architectural components such as service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, federated/polyglot persistence, etc.
• 6+ months of experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to learn on the fly, and a desire for ownership.
• Upper-intermediate English level.
