Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Platform Engineer to design and scale core infrastructure, primarily on AWS and Kubernetes, with a focus on AI-native tooling and distributed architecture.

You will collaborate with engineering and data science teams to keep systems performant and secure, own critical platform components, implement best practices, monitor reliability, and communicate project status and risks to leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of AWS and Kubernetes experience, including Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, or similar).
• 1+ year of building advanced architectural components (service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, polyglot persistence).
• 6+ months of experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code or Claude Cowork.
• Upper-intermediate English level.
• Excellent communication skills and ownership orientation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This person designs reliable platform services, manages cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, and works closely with engineering and data science teams to keep systems performant and secure. Comfort with distributed architecture and AI-native tooling matters here.

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of experience with API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS and Kubernetes, including experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, or similar.
• 1+ year of experience building advanced architectural components such as service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, federated/polyglot persistence, etc.
• 6+ months of experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to learn on the fly, and a desire for ownership.
• Upper-intermediate English level.
