AgileEngine is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. You will work on reliable platform services, manage cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, and collaborate with engineering and data science to keep systems performant and secure.

The role requires experience with Python/TypeScript, API design, and cloud-native architectures, plus familiarity with LLMs and AI tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS and Kubernetes, including Service Mesh tech (Istio/Linkerd/Cilium).
• 1+ year building advanced architectural components (service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, polyglot persistence).
• 6+ months of experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code/Claude Cowork or similar.
• Excellent communication skills and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform services to support growth.
• Monitor, measure, and optimize system performance; fix bottlenecks at infra level.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries with a focus on security.
• Implement best practices and tools to improve development efficiency.

About the Role

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to build and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. This person designs reliable platform services, manages cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, and works closely with engineering and data science teams to keep systems performant and secure. Comfort with distributed architecture and AI-native tooling matters here.

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of experience with API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS and Kubernetes, including experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, or similar.
• 1+ year of experience building advanced architectural components such as service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, federated/polyglot persistence, etc.
• 6+ months of experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to learn on the fly, and a desire for ownership.
