Job summary

Opsarmy is seeking an experienced accounting professional to provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. The role requires technical accounting judgment and the ability to independently investigate and resolve issues from Argentina, with coverage 8:00 AM-8:00 PM ET and overlapping US business hours.

Strong English communication and CPA/EA preferred; experience with QuickBooks, Excel, Zendesk, and payroll software is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
• Strong bookkeeping, tax return review, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Experience handling complex tax inquiries and customer-facing support.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to learn proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.
• Ability to explain complex topics to nontechnical customers.
• Comfortable in fast-paced technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies and reconciliations.
• Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, filing status, and returns.
• Support payroll questions and processing issues.
• Communicate findings via Zendesk, email responses, and scheduled calls.
• Identify root causes and coordinate with internal specialists.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Improve workflows and knowledge resources; adapt to new internal systems.
