Job summary

Edge is seeking a Level 2 Tax & Accounting Support Specialist to provide expert US accounting, tax, bookkeeping and payroll support from a remote Argentina-based team. You will handle complex inquiries, investigate root causes, and communicate findings clearly to customers.

The role requires strong accounting judgment, fluency in English, and the ability to work US business hours with overlapping shifts. CPA/EA preferred; experience with QuickBooks and Zendesk is a plus.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
• Ability to handle complex tax and accounting inquiries and notices.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to explain complex topics to nontechnical customers.
• Willingness to learn proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for complex US customer accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets; review reconciliations and transactions.
• Assist customers with tax notices, filing status questions, and tax return questions within scope.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate findings clearly via Zendesk, email responses, and scheduled phone support.
• Identify root causes and coordinate with internal specialists; document resolutions and maintain records.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve workflows and knowledge resources.
• Adapt to new internal systems as the client transitions away from Zendesk.
