Job summary

Fueled is hiring a Lead Data Engineer to own client marketing analytics warehouses on Google Cloud. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines, data models, and dashboards that power Looker Studio visuals and GA4-based metrics.

You will mentor engineers and ensure production-grade data delivery within client projects. You will ship Dataform or dbt on BigQuery, manage IAM for cross-project access, and work with PMs to defend estimates while translating complex data concepts for

Qualifications

• Shipped Dataform or dbt on BigQuery in production with proper tests and schedules.
• Wrote and owned Python data pipelines for API integrations with rate limits and backfills.
• Managed IAM service accounts, impersonation, and cross-project promotion in GCP.
• Implemented Looker Studio dashboards on BigQuery and traced metrics from GA4 to visuals.
• Collaborated with PMs, strategists, and client stakeholders to defend estimates and manage scope.

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering for client marketing analytics projects on BigQuery.
• Build and operate Dataform projects with clean layers and production-grade jobs.
• Develop Python ingestion services on Cloud Run with rate limits and recovery.
• Set up IAM, monitoring, cost controls, and runbooks inside the client’s GCP tenancy.
• Explain technical decisions to non-engineers and ensure on-budget delivery.
