Job summary

TransPerfect is seeking a seasoned HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across the United States and Puerto Rico. You will partner with managers on employee relations, performance management, compliance, and lifecycle processes, while ensuring policy accuracy and timely HR service.

The role requires strong knowledge of U.S. and Puerto Rico employment laws, with an emphasis on confidential handling of sensitive information and building an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–7 years of progressive HR experience with employee relations, performance management, and lifecycle processes.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, local laws and Puerto Rico employment law.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers to address employee relations matters and guide on policies and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct investigations and coordinate with legal counsel as needed.
• Support visa and immigration matters with external counsel.
• Manage performance management and organizational changes.
• Maintain and update employee handbooks and policies to stay compliant.
• Monitor wage laws and paid sick leave across jurisdictions.
