Job summary

TransPerfect is seeking an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive human resources support for employees and managers across the United States and Puerto Rico. You will partner with managers on employee relations, talent management, compliance, HR operations, and performance management, ensuring policies are current and compliant.

You will lead onboarding, investigations with legal counsel, visa coordination for sponsorship, and continuous improvement of HR processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive HR experience including employee relations, performance management and lifecycle processes.
• 2–3 years as HR Generalist supporting day-to-day HR operations and initiatives.
• Working knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local laws plus Puerto Rico employment law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers to address employee relations and disciplinary matters.
• Conduct investigations and coordinate with legal counsel as needed.
• Support visa and immigration matters for employees requiring sponsorship.
• Manage performance management and organizational changes across the workforce.
• Update handbooks, policies, and procedures to stay compliant and aligned.
• Monitor changes in wage laws and paid sick leave; deliver trainings.
• Evaluate HR processes and implement scalable improvements.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and maintain confidentiality.
