Devsu is seeking an experienced forward-deployed AI engineer to join a lean, specialized AI pod within a large private equity firm. You will work with portfolio companies to design, build, and hand off high-impact AI solutions, embedded across environments with full credentials and access.

You will collaborate on creating scalable reference architectures, evaluate models, and establish governance and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid professional software development experience with full-stack knowledge and production AI systems.
• Fluent English (C1) to lead technical discussions with executives and portco teams.
• Hands-on experience shipping production AI/ML systems including generative/agentic AI.
• Deep fluency in agentic tooling and architecture patterns, including multi-agent workflows.
• Strong grasp of GenAI patterns: embedding, RAG, vector search, tool calls, context engineering.

Responsabilités

• Assess AI feasibility during diligence and set technical direction for data products, pipelines, and deployment.
• Design and build LLM workflows and agentic applications against portco data and infra.
• Define secure, scalable reference architectures across cloud services and platforms.
• Establish evals, observability, tracing, latency and cost monitoring for handoff teams.
• Develop human-in-the-loop controls and data security by default.
• Transfer knowledge to portfolio company teams to support handoff and hiring.
