Job summary

Darkroom is hiring a Retention Specialist to drive email and SMS lifecycle marketing for leading DTC brands. You will partner with Associate Directors of Retention and cross-functional teams to translate data into scalable revenue growth.

This fully remote role supports a team in the EST time zone and welcomes candidates in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Argentina and Mexico. You will craft campaigns, optimize flows, and help shape the customer journey across channels.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of email and SMS marketing experience, lifecycle marketing, or CRM.
• Proven copywriting ability and strong written English.
• Experience at an agency or managing multiple client accounts is a plus.
• Strong strategic thinking and customer journey optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead email and SMS strategies for DTC/e-commerce clients with cross-functional teams.
• Own end-to-end deployment: copy, briefing, testing, QA, deployment and monitoring.
• Develop retention calendars and create campaign concepts for clients.
• Present ideas in client calls and manage feedback with confidence.
• Collaborate with design to ensure cohesive visuals and copy.
• Build and optimize automation flows and segmentation strategies.
• Analyze performance and surface recommendations to improve retention KPIs.
