AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases, collaborating with engineering teams. The role focuses on database administration, performance, security, and reliability—not data engineering.

Mandatory: 3–4 years hands-on DBA experience, MS SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, PowerShell or Python, Terraform, Confluent Kafka, AWS RDS/Aurora, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and upper-intermediate English.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience with production databases.
• Upper-intermediate English level.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS RDS and Aurora.
• Programming experience with PowerShell or Python.
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration and troubleshooting.
• Extensive performance tuning and high-availability disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and keep them performing well.
• Plan and carry out disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Keep database systems secure including access control and security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose difficult issues.
• Work closely with engineers on system design, performance tuning and support.
• Operate hands-on in a technical environment, administering data systems that support the website.
• Stay composed under pressure in stressful situations.
