Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and operate a Kubernetes-based cloud environment on AWS for a short-term project. You will own end-to-end infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure security and efficiency across production workloads.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, strong Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS expertise, with a focus on scalable, reliable systems and cost-aware architecture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Experience deploying AWS-hosted applications in production.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes in production.
• Ability to lead technical implementation efforts with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Manage containerized workloads with ECS/Fargate and autoscaling.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines.
• Operate and optimize streaming platforms and data infrastructure.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and proactive incident resolution.
• Continuously optimize AWS costs through resource right-sizing.
• Automate operational processes using Python, Bash, and AWS Lambda.
• Strengthen infrastructure security and CI/CD security controls.
• Own infrastructure projects end-to-end, from design to support.
• Create runbooks for first-level support teams.
• Manage infrastructure changes through reviewed PRs on a single main branch.
• Use performance metrics to guide decisions and advise leadership.
• Leverage AI tools to improve productivity while maintaining code quality.
