AgileEngine is seeking a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to deploy and operationalize a Kubernetes-based cloud environment on AWS for a short-term project. You will design scalable infrastructure, manage container workloads, and drive CI/CD pipelines while ensuring security and reliability across 24/7 operations.

The role emphasizes Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS/Helm), Argo CD, and data infrastructure with Kafka/Aerospike, plus focus on cost efficiency and automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, supporting 24/7 production environments.
• Advanced AWS experience with ECS/Fargate, ALB/NLB, VPC, Route 53, IAM, and more.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, reusable modules, multi-environment deployments.
• Containerization with Docker and ECS task definitions; image management.
• Strong CI/CD discipline using Jenkins, Groovy, and Jenkinsfiles; Shift-Left security.
• Proficient in Kubernetes tooling: EKS, Helm, Argo CD; GitOps practices.
• Experience with Kafka/Aerospike data stacks, streaming and analytics workflows.
• Monitoring/observability with Prometheus, Grafana; CloudWatch, OpenSearch.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure with high availability.
• Manage container workloads using Kubernetes platforms and autoscaling.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Groovy).
• Operate streaming data platforms and data infrastructure (Kafka, EMR, Airflow).
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response procedures.
• Automate operational tasks with Python, Bash, and AWS Lambda.
• Strengthen security controls and perform cost-conscious architectural decisions.
• Own infrastructure projects end-to-end from design to support.
