Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to lead desktop and mobile test automation while owning manual testing efforts. You will integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate failures, and work closely with developers to improve testability.

The role emphasizes hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing across platforms and devices. Ideal candidates bring strong automation experience, proficiency with Playwright and WebDriverIO, plus Appium for mobile, including testing

Qualifications

4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web.
Experience with WebDriverIO + Appium for mobile.
Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
