Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to build robust desktop and mobile test automation and to own hands-on manual testing where automation cannot cover edge cases. You will design, implement, and maintain automated tests, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and drive fast, reliable feedback.

You’ll investigate failures, fix flaky tests, manage test data and environments, and report clear defects. This role supports a fully remote, international team and requires strong English

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands‑on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI‑powered applications is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• 3+ years of automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
