Job summary

Automation QA Engineer at Tether seeking strong automation skills and ownership of manual testing for desktop and mobile apps. You will build and maintain regression tests, integrate with CI/CD, and collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure testability and quality.

The role emphasizes testing AI-powered applications, hands-on exploration, and improving test strategies within a global remote team.

Qualifications

4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
