Political Asylum Lawyers in Houston is seeking an Accounting & Finance Manager (Hands-on) to lead the firm’s financial operations, accounting systems, billing, cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, trust accounting compliance, payroll oversight, tax reporting coordination, internal controls, and related projects.

This role serves as the firm’s first level of financial analysis and operational control, ensuring records are accurate, timely, and useful for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Financial Operations Management: manage day-to-day financial operations, working with existing staff and service providers and documenting procedures so the work is completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain clean and current financial records in the accounting system.
• Monitor daily cash balances, bank accounts, credit card activity, merchant activity, and other key financial accounts.
• Billing, Collections, and Accounts Receivable: own and improve the firm’s billing and collections process and supervise timely preparation of client invoices.
• Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Forecasting: prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and budgets, provide variance explanations and decisions needed.
• Provide analysis that supports strategic planning, operational planning, and financial decision-making.
