Job summary

Clorox is seeking an R&D Packaging Scientist to lead end-to-end packaging development for AMEA, focusing on sustainable, high-performance solutions. You will collaborate with Global R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and external partners to translate regional needs into scalable packaging prototypes and pilot runs.

From lab testing to production, you will manage specifications, support commercialization, and help advance 2030 packaging goals, including recycled content and recyclability, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a packaging/engineering field and a Master’s in Packaging Science are relevant.
• Fluency in English with strong cross-functional communication.
• Knowledge of ASTM packaging testing methods and practical validation approaches.
• Ability to work in lab and manufacturing environments with various materials and prototypes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong leadership, influence, and risk-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive packaging innovation across AMEA markets, meeting regulatory, sustainability, and brand requirements.
• Own end-to-end packaging development from concept through scale-up including testing and validation.
• Create, maintain, and manage packaging specifications for primary, secondary, tertiary, and display packaging.
• Collaborate with Sustainability to advance 2030 packaging goals (virgin plastic reduction, recycled content, recyclability).
• Lead pilot and production trials for new packaging components and support successful product launches.
• Partner with Global R&D, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and external partners to interpret data and manage technical risk.
