Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both automation and manual testing for desktop and mobile applications. You will build and maintain test suites across platforms, and ensure reliability in fast-moving fintech projects.

You will work with developers to improve testability, participate in CI/CD, and apply AI-assisted QA approaches to validate complex features and ensure high quality releases. Remote role with global teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web testing.
• Experience with WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron or React Native apps on iOS/Android devices.
• Experience applying AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure fast, reliable tests.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
