Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Lead AI Factory Engineer to direct fleets of AI agents and guarantee shipped, correct code at speed, without compromising quality. You will own architectural decisions and define acceptance criteria, while agents handle code generation under supervision.

Responsibilities include decomposing work for sub-agents, building verification loops (tests, linters, type checks), and reporting factory performance across specs, tests, and production metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience orchestrating multi-agent workflows including planner, implementer, reviewer and tester sub-agents.
• Background in building verification pipelines with tests, linters and type checks.
• Ability to review code diffs, challenge automated decisions and correct agent drift.

Responsibilities

• Decompose work into specs and tasks for agents to execute.
• Supervise agent output by reading diffs and challenging decisions.
• Build verification into every loop with tests and linters.
• Define acceptance criteria to validate agent-generated work prior to integration.
• Own architectural decisions and design tradeoffs while agents generate code.
• Perform work by hand when needed to identify agent errors.
