Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Inventory Specialist in Mendoza, Argentina, to drive inventory optimization and supply chain excellence. You will partner with regional teams to balance customer requirements with operational efficiency, manage aging inventory, and improve turns while aligning with business continuity objectives.

The role requires 5+ years in inventory or related fields, strong SAP/MRP knowledge, and the ability to influence across functions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field.
Minimum 5 years in inventory management or supply chain operations.
Experience with inventory optimization and control processes.
Strong knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality.
Ability to influence stakeholders across regions.
Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
APICS CPIM/CSCP or similar certifications considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

Monitor inventory levels and weekly fluctuations against targets.
Implement stocking strategies to optimize availability and reduce costs.
Develop methods to maximize inventory utilization and efficiency.
Monitor safety stock, global inventory, and aging inventory; address risks with regions.
Provide updates on inventory projections and mitigation plans.
Review Slow Moving Inventory with stakeholders to minimize risks.
Forecast inventory reserves and create action plans.
Collaborate with Demand Planning to maintain net demand plans.
Work with Supply Planning to stock local suppliers.
Support new product introductions and obsolescence planning.
