Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Inventory Specialist to drive inventory optimization and supply chain excellence. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, logistics, or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management or related disciplines
• Experience in inventory optimization, order management, asset utilization, and inventory control processes

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure weekly fluctuations align with business requirements and targets
• Implement inventory stocking strategies to optimize product availability while minimizing carrying costs
• Develop and execute methods to maximize inventory utilization and operational efficiency
• Monitor safety stock levels, global inventory, and aging inventory with regional partnerships to address risks
• Provide updates on inventory projections and develop mitigation plans for gaps or excess inventory
• Review Slow Moving Inventory (SMI) with regional stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional actions
• Forecast inventory reserves and create action plans to mitigate exposure
• Partner with Demand Planning to develop and maintain effective net demand plans
• Collaborate with Supply Planning to implement stocking strategies for local suppliers and service providers
• Work with regional teams on new product introductions and obsolete inventory management
