Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Inventory Specialist to drive inventory optimization and support supply chain objectives across regions. You will partner with supply chain, manufacturing and planning teams to optimize inventory levels, reduce aging stock, and improve turns while ensuring continuity of supply.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years in inventory or supply chain roles, with strong SAP and MRP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 5 years in inventory management or related supply chain roles.
• Experience in inventory optimization, order management, asset utilization, and inventory control processes.
• Strong SAP and MRP knowledge.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across regions and functions.
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• APICS CPIM/CSCP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure weekly fluctuations align with targets.
• Implement stocking strategies to optimize availability while minimizing costs.
• Develop methods to maximize inventory utilization and efficiency.
• Monitor safety stock, global and aging inventory; address regional risks and opportunities.
• Provide updates on projections and mitigation plans for gaps or excess.
• Review Slow Moving Inventory with regional stakeholders to minimize risks.
• Forecast inventory reserves and create action plans to mitigate exposure.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning to maintain net demand plans.
• Collaborate with Supply Planning on stocking strategies for local suppliers.
• Support new product introductions and manage obsolete inventory effectively.
