Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Inventory Specialist to drive inventory optimization and supply chain excellence across global operations. You will partner with Demand, Supply, and Manufacturing to balance customer needs with cost efficiency, improve turns, and mitigate risks through rigorous planning and decision making.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, at least five years in inventory management or related disciplines, and strong SAP and MRP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, logistics or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain operations or related disciplines.
• Experience in inventory optimization, order management, asset utilization and inventory control processes.
• Strong knowledge of SAP systems and MRP functionality.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across multiple functions and regions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• APICS, CPIM, CSCP or similar certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure weekly fluctuations align with business targets.
• Implement stocking strategies to optimize product availability and minimize carrying costs.
• Develop and execute programs to maximize inventory utilization and efficiency.
• Monitor safety stock, global inventory and aging inventory with regional teams.
• Provide updates on inventory projections and mitigate gaps or excess inventory.
• Review Slow Moving Inventory with regional stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional actions.
• Forecast inventory reserves and create action plans to mitigate exposure.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning to maintain effective net demand plans.
• Partner with Supply Planning to implement stocking strategies for local suppliers.
