Job summary

ABB is seeking a technically skilled Proposals Engineer in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The role collaborates with the Sales organization to prepare technical descriptions, determine costs, and produce commercial and technical offers for power distribution projects.

You will analyze customer needs, review market information, and define cost for proposed solutions, supporting the local Sales team in delivering competitive bids in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Immersed in the energy distribution market with strong technical understanding of MV/LV distribution.
• 5+ years of experience in projects, bids, tenders and proposals for power distribution.
• Ability to read/interpret technical specifications and prepare commercial and technical offers.
• Fluent English in verbal and written communication (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and customers to prepare technical descriptions of products and technology.
• Determine costs, prepare final documentation, and serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area.
• Perform lost proposal analysis, identify potential causes, and recommend actions for future bids.
• Define cost for proposed solutions and communicate it to the Sales organization.
