Hitachi Energy is seeking a Lead Proposal Engineer to drive complex technical and commercial proposals for Network Control solutions across LATAM and global markets.

You will lead RFIs/RFPs analysis, develop competitive strategies, and coordinate technical and commercial content while collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure winning proposals.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Automation, Power Systems or related field.
• Experience developing and executing technical and commercial proposals for SCADA, EMS, GMS, ADMS, DMS, OMS or DERMS.
• Experience with tendering, requirement analysis and risk management.
• Knowledge of AI tools applied to proposal development and support.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the analysis of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs for complex power sector projects.
• Develop proposal strategies considering scope, costs, schedules and competitiveness.
• Coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals and qualification docs.
• Collaborate with global Engineering, Operations, Sales and Finance teams.
• Conduct risk assessments, proposal reviews, and Go/No-Go decisions.
• Consolidate cost estimates, pricing strategies, and supplier quotations.
• Support negotiations with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure structured handover of information to execution teams after contract award.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Lead Proposal Engineer to lead the development of complex technical and commercial proposals for Network Control solutions, including SCADA, EMS, GMS, ADMS, DERMS, and OMS platforms, supporting generation, transmission, distribution, and system operator customers across Latin America and other global markets.

In this role, you will work on strategic opportunities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and executive stakeholders to build competitive, innovative, and winning proposals.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Lead the analysis of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs for complex projects in the power and energy sector.
• Develop proposal strategies considering scope, risks, costs, schedules, and competitiveness.
• Coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, as well as qualification documents.
• Collaborate closely with global Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Finance teams.
• Conduct risk assessments, proposal reviews, and Go/No-Go processes.
• Consolidate cost estimates, pricing strategies, and supplier quotations.
• Support technical and commercial negotiations with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure a structured handover of information to execution teams following contract award.

Your Background

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation, Power Systems Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in the development and execution of technical and commercial proposals for SCADA, EMS, GMS, ADMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS, or other digital solutions applied to the power industry would be considered a strong advantage.
• Experience with tendering processes, technical and commercial requirement analysis, and risk management.
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools applied to proposal development and support activities.
• Advanced English and intermediate Spanish.
