Job summary

Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina is seeking a DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain AWS-first cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and data ingestion workflows to power data products. Collaboration with data teams and security is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering with hands-on data engineering.
• Expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue ETL, Crawlers, Data Catalog; Athena workgroup management and federated queries.
• Proficiency with IaC tools—Terraform and/or AWS CDK—for managing production cloud environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience: pipelines in GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS or Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of AWS Glue ETL jobs.
• Build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC (Terraform/AWS CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure SLA and fast incident response.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure used to support data ingestion microservices.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and security teams to translate requirements into scalable infrastructure.
