Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role centers on reliability, automation, and data infrastructure—owning AWS-first cloud setup, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to accelerate data product delivery.

You will work with Glue, Athena, and S3, while maintaining a strong operations mindset for scalable pipelines, security, and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering with data engineering exposure.
• Deep AWS core services experience (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
• Hands-on with AWS Glue, Athena, and ETL pipelines.
• IaC with Terraform or CDK for production environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infra.
• Manage AWS-based infrastructure including S3, IAM, Glue, Athena.
• Own observability with metrics, logs, and alerts for data pipelines.
• Develop data ops tooling and reusable templates for engineers.
