Job summary

Improving South America is seeking a GenAI/ML Engineer to bridge data science and software engineering. You will work hands-on with open-source LLMs like Qwen to build GenAI capabilities and integrate them into internal tools and applications.

You will collaborate across data science and engineering teams, delivering production-ready features while iterating quickly and maintaining strong software engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience with Qwen or similar open-source LLMs.
• Experience building and tuning LLMs and GenAI applications.
• Strong software engineering and integration skills.
• Ability to collaborate across data science and engineering and translate ideas into production-ready implementations.
• Comfort working end-to-end from experimentation to production delivery.
• Experience developing GenAI features and working with modern AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop LLM-powered applications and GenAI features.
• Work hands-on with open-source models including Qwen.
• Develop internal tools around LLMs.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing applications and systems.
• Partner across data science and engineering to move ideas from experimentation to production.
• Utilize Claude Code and similar tools to accelerate development.
