Cashea is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the data platform that turns raw operational data into analytics-ready data used across the company. You’ll scale the orchestration and transformation layer with Cloud Composer (Airflow), dbt on BigQuery, and Datastream CDC pipelines on GCP.

This role blends deep engineering with enablement: scale Airflow, harden the platform, optimize cost, and mentor teams to ship reliable data efficiently.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering building/operating production data platforms at scale.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer) for DAG design, scheduling and scaling.
• Hands-on experience with dbt, including incremental models, testing, macros and large model graph.
• Strong BigQuery experience: modeling, partitioning, clustering, optimization, and cost control.
• Experience operating data services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in Python for pipeline and operator development, and strong SQL.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills with mentoring ability.
• Excellent problem-solving and curiosity about new technology.

Responsabilidades

• Own health, performance, and scalability of Cloud Composer (Airflow) environments.
• Design and extend dbt on BigQuery transformation layer across bronze, silver, and gold.
• Own Datastream CDC pipelines feeding BigQuery across schemas and backfills.
• Build and improve DataOps: CI/CD for DAGs and dbt with GitHub Actions and Workload Identity Federation.
• Drive data quality, observability, freshness checks, lineage, and alerting.
• Define and champion data engineering standards and mentor engineers.
• Partner with platform, product, and analytics teams to make the data platform self-serve within OpenTofu and Terragrunt IaC.
