Job summary

Oracle’s Datacenter Services is seeking an experienced technician to support server hardware maintenance, network configuration, and change control processes. You will identify improvement opportunities, mentor junior technicians, and ensure all tasks align with SOPs and MOPs during on-site client engagements.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to SLAs, and continuous improvement of data center operations through standardized procedures.

Qualifications

• Identifies opportunities to upgrade server components and improve lifecycle performance.
• Mentors less experienced technicians on hardware best practices and repair methods.
• Adheres to SOPs/MOPs and Data Center Change Control processes to ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities for team members to work with servers and hardware to support lifecycle performance.
• Guides technicians on power distribution units and replacement hardware while maintaining critical infrastructure.
• Validates cabling and network connectivity to ensure devices are properly connected and error-free.
• Monitors and assigns work in a ticketing system, mentoring staff and escalating trends per SLAs.
• Ensures adherence to SOPs/MOPs, site rules, and vendor requirements during on-site work at client locations.
