Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Product Support Engineer to deliver advanced technical support to enterprise customers, including troubleshooting, case management, and knowledge sharing. You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues in Linux-based environments and contribute to our knowledge base.

You’ll interact with enterprise customers, coordinate with Account Managers and SEs, and help drive customer success with Proofpoint’s cloud security platform.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in a Technical Support role.
• Excellent written and verbal customer-facing communication skills.
• Proficient with Linux command line environments.
• Advanced use of grep, regex, log scraping in command line.
• Experienced with email system debugging.
• Familiar with remote hosting tools for customer troubleshooting.
• Experience with security product suites is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced software technical support to customers, resellers, and partners via phone and the ticketing system.
• Manage cases in the ticketing system to ensure cases are handled within SLO guidelines.
• Create and send out alerts and other customer communications as necessary.
• Publish Knowledge Base articles for internal and customer use.
• Act as SME to review technical documentation and training materials.
