Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Commercial Lead for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin. You will drive growth by engaging customers, applying technical expertise, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation.

Responsibilities include delivering value through technical presentations, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining robust CRM data. The role emphasizes cross-sell opportunities and long-term customer partnerships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, motors, RSS, or BHA optimization.
• Strong understanding of wellbore data interpretation and drilling KPIs.
• Experience with operators in Vaca Muerta or other shale basins.
• Proven ability to manage technical sales cycles and influence engineering/procurement.
• Excellent communication; translate technical value into commercial terms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Directional Drilling Services in Vaca Muerta.
• Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, scoping, pricing, proposals, contracts.
• Build and maintain relationships with operators such as YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol, Pampa, Pluspetrol, Capex.
• Deliver technical presentations, performance reviews, and post-well analysis.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering and product lines to ensure service quality.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across drilling products.
• Support tender submissions, commercial models, and contract renewals.
• Maintain accurate pipelines, forecasts, and customer intelligence in CRM.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE and company standards.
