Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Commercial Lead for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin, Argentina. You will develop and execute the commercial strategy, manage the full sales cycle, and engage with major operators to deliver value through technical and commercial excellence.

You will collaborate with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure service quality, while targeting cross-sell opportunities across bits, fluids, motors, MWD/LWD, and RSS.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, motors, RSS, or BHA optimization.
• Strong understanding of wellbore data interpretation, drilling KPIs, and performance drivers.
• Experience working with operators in Vaca Muerta or other shale basins.
• Proven ability to manage technical sales cycles and influence engineering and procurement stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, translating technical information into commercial value.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin.
• Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, technical scoping, pricing, proposals, and contract negotiation.
• Build and maintain relationships with operators such as YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol, Pampa, Pluspetrol, and Capex, plus drilling contractors.
• Deliver technical presentations, performance reviews, and post‑well analyses to demonstrate service value and differentiation.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities across bits, fluids, motors, MWD/LWD, and RSS.
• Support tender submissions, commercial models, and contract renewals to secure long‑term business.
• Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and customer intelligence within CRM systems.
