Job summary

MAVI places experienced finance and accounting professionals into senior, high-ownership roles at high-growth US companies. The Collections & Credit Lead will own accounts receivable, billing, and collections, working remotely from Argentina with US finance leadership.

You will reconcile the hardest items, review others' work, coach junior accountants, and ensure accurate cash application, DSO reporting, and credit reserves in a fast-paced, fully remote engagement.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience reviewing other accountants' work and resolving complex reconciling items.
• Experience with billing, cash application, and collections.
• US GAAP experience, or strong Argentine GAAP (FACPCE) or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing. Prepare and send customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Cash application. Apply customer payments and resolve unapplied cash.
• Collections. Manage collections and the aging, and escalate with sales when needed.
• Reserves. Prepare the allowance for credit losses.
• DSO. Report on DSO and collections performance.
• Review and coaching. Review entries and reconciliations prepared by others, and coach junior accountants on how to get them right the first time.

The Role

We are seeking a Collections & Credit Lead to own accounts receivable, billing, and collections at a high-growth US company, working remotely from Argentina.

This is the senior individual contributor seat in the area: you will own the hardest reconciliations and judgment calls, review the work of others, and be the first escalation point for the team and for auditors.

What You'll Own

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of accounting experience
• Experience reviewing other accountants' work and resolving complex reconciling items
• Experience with billing, cash application, and collections
• US GAAP experience, or strong Argentine GAAP (FACPCE) or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients or entities
• Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Stripe, or Chargebee
• Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification

Preferred

• Experience with a billing or collections tool such as Chargebee or Upflow
• Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output

Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote role with a single client company for the duration of the engagement. Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET); part-time roles require a minimum of 2 hours.
