Job summary

MAVI places experienced finance and accounting professionals into senior, high-ownership roles at high-growth US companies. Our Accounts Payable Manager will own accounts payable and vendor payments, working remotely from Argentina, and will report to the Controller or VP of Finance while staying hands-on during close or audits.

This role emphasizes invoice processing, payment runs, vendor management, AP reconciliation, and automation, with a focus on building and coaching a high-performing AP

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience leading accountants and owning the review of their work.
• Experience with full-cycle accounts payable.
• US GAAP experience, or strong Argentine GAAP (FACPCE) or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients or entities.
• Experience with Bill.com, Ramp, Tipalti, or Coupa, plus NetSuite or QuickBooks Online.
• Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Invoice processing. Process vendor invoices and expense reports accurately and on time.
• Payment runs. Prepare weekly payment runs, including ACH and international wires.
• Vendor management. Onboard vendors and keep W-9s and 1099s complete.
• AP reconciliation. Reconcile the AP subledger and accrue unbilled expenses.
• AP automation. Lead automation of invoice capture and approvals.
• The team. Lead, review, and develop a team of accountants, setting clear standards for quality and timeliness.
• Controls. Design and maintain the controls and approval workflows for your area, and fix gaps before an auditor finds them.

The Role

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to own accounts payable and vendor payments at a high-growth US company, working remotely from Argentina.

You will lead the area's people and its day-to-day results, reporting to the Controller or VP of Finance, while staying hands-on whenever the close or an audit needs it.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of accounting experience

• Experience with Bill.com, Ramp, Tipalti, or Coupa, plus NetSuite or QuickBooks Online

Preferred

• Experience with 1099 reporting
• Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output

Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote role with a single client company for the duration of the engagement. Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET); part-time roles require a minimum of 2 hours.
