Job summary

Sur Global is seeking a reliable Bilingual Medical Virtual Assistant to support healthcare professionals remotely. The role involves coordinating patient appointments, managing EMR/EHR data, and handling phone inquiries in English and Spanish with accuracy and empathy.

You will work with US-based healthcare clients from a fully remote Latin America setting, ensuring HIPAA compliance and high service quality. This is a long-term opportunity with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required; confident in professional phone conversations.
• Experience in customer service, call centers, or healthcare administration.
• Strong phone-handling skills with empathy and professionalism.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, NextGen).

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound/outbound calls with patients, providers, and insurers with empathy and accuracy.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and maintain medical records.
• Access and update patient information in EMR/EHR systems while maintaining confidentiality.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with coverage inquiries.
• Support patient intake, admissions, and front-desk tasks; guide patients through admin processes.
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare teams.
