AgileEngine is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems using Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot, GraphQL, MongoDB Atlas, and Aurora MySQL on AWS. The role covers operational tooling, system architecture, and observability within a Product-led engineering team.

• 3+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in MongoDB Atlas.
• Proficiency in Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• API development with GraphQL (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems on a major cloud platform.

Responsabilidades

• Take on lower-priority engineering work including compliance, maintenance, cost-savings, observability, and tooling.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and design with data-driven validation.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers.
• Clarify requirements with Product Manager and fellow engineers; focus on coding, testing, and documentation.
