Job summary

Bluelight is seeking a seasoned DevOps/SRE professional to join our rapidly growing team. You will design scalable AWS infrastructure, implement security and compliance measures, and own CI/CD pipelines across multiple client projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DevOps, experience with ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, Terraform, Docker, and strong incident response skills. Remote-friendly role with international collaboration and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production with multi-AZ failover and replicas.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and ECS/Fargate.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with deployment automation and rollback drills.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or similar).
• Experience with load testing (k6 or similar) and latency/slo budgets.
• Security-first mindset: vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and hardening practices.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 audits and client security reviews.
• Incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.
• Background with large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Extremes ownership and accountability for deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AWS-based infrastructure for client projects.
• Oversee security, compliance, and audit evidence during engagements.
• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Monitor and improve system observability, performance, and reliability.
• Lead incident response and post-incident analyses to drive improvements.
