Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to drive automated and manual testing across desktop and mobile apps. You will build robust regression suites, integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate failures, and ensure testability with product and engineering teams.

You will work on Electron/React Native apps, leverage AI tools in QA, and participate in on-call rotations. Strong communication and a passion for holistic quality are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bugs.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout SDLC and release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
