Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer (AI-Native) based in Argentina to own features end-to-end, from problem identification to production.

You will work with AI agents as your primary development partners rather than writing code manually. In a remote, international team, you will review AI-generated implementations for reliability and quality, define integration requirements with external providers, and shape AI-first engineering processes that tie technical decisions to user and business

Qualifications

Senior-level engineering experience owning complex production systems end-to-end.
Background as a backend engineer, software architect, or similarly experienced IC.
Extensive hands-on experience with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex) as part of daily development workflow.
Strong interest in agentic software development and willingness to learn new tools/workflows.
Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership to drive work to measurable results.
Strong critical-thinking to inspect, challenge, debug, and improve AI-generated code.
High standards for engineering quality, reliability, testing, and production readiness.

Responsibilities

Own product features end-to-end from problem statement to production.
Identify what needs to be built and drive initiatives with minimal guidance.
Engage with external partners and service providers for integration requirements.
Collaborate with AI agents to produce product and technical specifications.
Delegate tasks to AI agents and review their outputs in a large production codebase.
Evaluate AI-generated implementations for errors and suitability.
Test and validate features with emphasis on reliability in financial transactions processing.
Own architecture, integrations, deployment, reliability and production readiness.
Contribute to an AI-first development process within an international distributed team.
