Job summary
A leading global company in Dubai is seeking an experienced procurement professional with over 35 years of experience to manage and enhance procurement strategies. The role involves improving processes, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring supplier performance management in a team-oriented environment. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential, along with an understanding of procurement systems. This full-time position does not support remote work.
Qualifications
- 35+ years of experience in procurement.
- Team player at executive levels collaborating with business units.
- In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles.
- Experience with modern sourcing and procurement systems.
- Good/Excellent written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage strategic procurement goals for categories.
- Improve procurement processes and conduct market analysis.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage procurement systems.
- Develop team strategy and support employee development.
- Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance.
Skills
- Creation and management of short mid and long term strategic procurement goals and objectives for Direct Subcontracting and IM&S categories (together with his/her direct reports if there is any).
- Creation and improvement of procurement processes in alignment with the stakeholders including market analysis strategy sourcing & negotiation and contract approval.
- Identification and realization of costsaving opportunities including local / regional consolidation projects.
- Management of procurement systems.
- Management of procurement staff in and across sourcing contracting supplier management and miscellaneous internal procurement support activities.
- Development of the team strategy and support for the employee development by offering proper training coaching and job rotation opportunities.
- Manage and monitor Supplier Performance lead the development of corrective actions plans and followup when there are issues.
- Develop and maintain supplier pool.
- Ensure subcontractors compliance with company policies and procedures in coordination with Global Compliance Team.
- Analyze and understand the cost drivers associated with each category/supplier.
- Benchmark current products across suppliers and identify consolidation opportunities.
- Support procurement aspects of the related projects.
- 35years experience in procurement
- Team player at executive levels to collaborate with business units and functional partners
- Indepth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience with modern sourcing and procurement systems
- Good communication skills strategic mindset and problemsolving skills
