Job Description

Civil Discipline
Job Ticket : Area Lead / Sr. Civil Engineer

A. QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Degree in Civil Engineering with extensive expertise in Civil Design/Engineering with at least 12 years experience in Major oil/gas offshore and onshore projects in the capacity of Lead or Area Lead Engineer.

B. RESPONSIBILITIES / PROFILE:

Reports operationally to the Civil Lead Engineer with the following responsibilities/profile, as a minimum:

(i) Extensive Knowledge and Experience:
- Should have extensive knowledge and experience in developing site plans, civil layouts, and infrastructure routing studies for oil and gas, offshore, and onshore projects.

(ii) 3D Environment Experience:
- Should have experience in handling civil engineering projects in a 3D environment using tools such as Civil 3D, Revit, or similar software.

(iii) Technical Management:
- Provide technical management of the civil engineering personnel under their responsibilities, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

(iv) Team Guidance:
- Provide guidance to all team members with proper work distribution and mentorship to enhance team performance and development.

(v) Coordination with Specialist Engineers:
- Coordinate activities with specialist engineers, such as geotechnical and structural leads, to ensure integrated project solutions.

(vi) Project Specifications Implementation:
- Ensure implementation of project specifications, procedures, design requirements, and industry standards in all civil engineering activities.

(vii) Interdisciplinary Coordination:
- Facilitate coordination with other disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, and piping, to ensure cohesive project execution.

(viii) Client and Vendor Interaction:
- Participate in meetings and assist in technical matters with clients, vendors, and contractors, providing expert civil engineering insights.

(ix) Project Reviews Participation:
- Participate in key project reviews, site layout reviews, HAZOP, lessons learned workshops, constructability reviews, and design/model review meetings.

(x) Effective Communication:
- Should be a good communicator with effective written and oral communication abilities to convey technical information clearly and concisely.

(xi) Organize 3D Model Reviews:
- Organize periodic internal 3D model reviews and assign job responsibilities to designers during this period to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.
