Job summary
A leading healthcare facility in Dubai seeks an experienced nursing assistant to support patient care operations. The role requires cleaning and maintaining medical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and assisting in the daily clinic functions. Candidates must possess a medical field education with certifications like Basic Life Support preferred. Fluency in English is essential, and Arabic communication skills are favorable. This position offers a chance to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of nine years of basic education with 18 months – 2 years of Nurse Training.
- 12 years of basic education with 1 year of Nurse Training.
- 6 months Health Care Assistant certification.
- Certification in Heart Saver or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize tasks ensuring effective functioning of the area.
- Keep all medical equipment and examination rooms clean.
- Ensure a safe working environment per Hospital Policy.
- Ensure clinic stock as per needs with no expired items.
- Maintain a safe, hygienic working environment as per JCIA standards.
Skills
Education
Supports the provision of safe, patient and family-focused quality care. Assists in the daily functioning of the clinic/department in support of patient care while maintaining confidentiality. Supports the successful achievements of the Clinic Operations strategic goals.
- Prioritizes tasks ensuring effective functioning of the area.
- Keeps all medical equipment and examination rooms clean and ready for use.
- Ensures a safe working environment through strict compliance with Hospital Policy and Procedures regarding safety, infection and security.
- Ensures clinic stock as per the needs and no expired items.
- Ensures an accurate charging of consumables and store organization.
- Measures and records daily:
- Fridge (Medication and nutrition) temperature
- Linen warmer temperature
- Glucometer daily quality check
- Cleaning schedules
- Maintains a safe, hygienic working environment in accordance with Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standards.
- Ensures the completion of environmental assessment of the clinic.
- Ensures the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) and Mandatory Education are completed within the time frame.
- Minimum of nine (9) years of basic education with eighteen (18) months – two (2) yearsofNurseTraining,or
- Minimumoftwelve(12)yearsofbasiceducationwith one (1) year of Nurse Training, or
- Six (6) months Health Care Assistant certification course, or
- Diploma in any Medical field, or
- Bachelor’s Degree in any Medical field (minimum of two (2) years undergraduate with proof of transcript).
- Certification in Heart Saver or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a nursing assistant or in any medical position.
- Knowledge in coordinating and planning care while prioritizing based on individual patient needs.
- Skills in assessing the physical and psychological needs of patients and their families.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to communicate in Arabic, both spoken and written is preferred.
