Job summary

The Luxury Collection in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Wine Cellar Specialist to oversee wine service, maintain the wine list, and pair wines with menu items. You will train servers and bartenders, attend wine tastings, and develop strong relationships with vendors while ensuring compliance with safety policies and exquisite guest service.

This role requires relevant education and at least 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Open, serve wine/champagne bottles and answer guests’ questions regarding origin, vintage, and style.
• Update wine list and MICROS system; pair and suggest wines with menu items.
• Attend wine tastings and develop relationships with vendors; request new wines.
• Monitor and replenish inventory of wine cellar, equipment, and glassware; maintain storage areas.
• Train and educate staff on wine service; conduct vintage and BIN checks and safety procedures.
