Job summary

The Luxury Collection Dubai is seeking an experienced Wine Steward to issue, open, and serve wine and champagne, answer guest questions about origin, vintage, and style, and update the wine list using MICROS.

You will pair and suggest wines with menu items, attend tastings, train staff, monitor inventory and equipment, and supervise storage areas, while upholding safety and quality standards. Experience of at least 2 years and a technical/vocational degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree required.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No professional license or certification required.

Responsibilities

• Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles.
• Answer guest questions regarding origin, vintage, and style of wines.
• Update and maintain wine list and MICROS system.
• Pair and suggest wines to complement menu items.
• Attend wine tastings and develop relationships with vendors.
• Create and update wine lists and train staff on wine service.
